Our first big cruise of 2012 will be the Edison Parade of Lights Cruise, commonly known as EPOL.  Reservations have been made at Legacy Habour Marina, from Friday, Feb. 17th thru Sunday, Feb. 19th.  Once again, they have given us the special rate of $1.80 per foot.  BEST DEAL IN OUR AREA! Legacy Marina is requesting a roster of participating boats by FEB. 1st.  If you plan on sailing up river to spend one, or both nights at the marina, please contact me at ArgusGdn@comcast.net, or phone me at 239-278-3733 (office number).  I will be the point of contact for this cruise and will forward the roster of participating boats to the marina. Please include your boat name and the number of nights you will spending at the marina. Please advise your boat information including length, width, depth.

Legacy Harbour Marina is located at 2044 West First Street, downtown Ft. Myers.  Members are welcome to drive up on Friday or Saturday.

Friday Night: Cocktails at 1700 hrs in and around the docks and Tiki Hut area. Everyone attending please bring an appetizer to share.  For dinner on your own ~ those who want can order Pizzia, or walk over to one of the many nearby restaurants.

Saturday: All you can eat oysters starting about 1100 hrs.  Tentative location is the TIKI HUT area at the Marina. Of course Volunteers are solicited for both setup & teardown and of course oyster shucking!  All bring your shucking knifes and gloves! Please let Bev know the who is willing to help out.  The club will provide plates, utensils and condiments.  Bring your appetite and a beverage.  Cost will be $10.00 per person for all you can eat.

That evening there will be a potluck dinner at the TIKI HUT.  Bring a dish to share.  Again, plates and utensils will be sup-plied. Following the meal, ―CMCSers can walk the short distance over to the Edison Parade of Light that begins at 1900hrs.  Go to www.edisonfestival.org for more information.

Sunday: No formal breakfast is planned, so either eat on your boat or walk to one of the nearby restaurants.

The Edison Parade of Light is a very special occasion to the Fort Myers area. Plan on decorating your boat with white ―Christmas type light while at the marina.  Dressing up our boats displays Thomas Edison‘s legacy of electric light.  If anyone has some extra lights to spare, please advise!
