Three CMCS boats headed out for secluded week long cruises, totally unbeknownst to each other. Interestingly enough, they all three wound up in the same anchorage – Panther Key!
First to arrive was Freestyle, with Glen, Paula, & Annie. They came down from FMB, via stops in Chatney Bay and Smokehouse Bay.
A couple hours later, in comes Adventure with Capt. Roger, Cathy, and two grandkids out on Spring Break. They had been wondering up from a few days in the Keys, plus a couple stops in the 10,000 Islands.
A traditional CMCS Happy Hour celebration was conducted.
The next afternoon, here comes Miller Time, with Tim & Deedee. You guessed it, we had to conduct another CMCS Happy Hour. We most definitely would have invited any other cruisers in the area, but there was no one else there. After all, we were in the middle of nowhere!
We spent much time exploring just a few of the more than 10,000 isles. We found Panther Lake. Plus the shell mounds and old water cistern on Dismal Key. For those of us who still hang out sails, we had great East winds for the trip home.
