Traditionally, our 4th of July cruise has headed up to Franklin Locks. Since the docks there are closed for reconstruction, our Rear Commodore of Cruising went with a creative idea. A two part cruise.
One part we called the “Outies”. This was for people wishing to anchor out on the Caloosahatchee to have a front row seat for Cape Coral’s fireworks. Five Society boats were there for the show.
Part two we called the “Innies”. We had five boats come to the CCYC Marina for the weekend, plus two members who keep there boats at CCYC, and a good number of “Land Cruisers” participated in a weekend of appetizers, potlucks, and simply “hanging out”. Oh – they did get to see the fireworks too. Just not from the “front row”.
Just another laid back weekend in paradise.
