After a little more shopping and a walk for Annie, we headed on up to Oriental. This is a quaint little town which boast that it has more sailboats than people. Essentially, a good number of people from the Raleigh, Durham area enjoy this quaint area, keep sailboats here, and come down on the weekend for sailing get-a-ways.
With reports of tropical storm Andrea headed our way, we took a slip at what we hoped to be a fairly well protected marina call Whittaker Pointe. Another nice feature, they had a loaner car. Andrea wasn’t here yet, but we were already getting some 15 to 20 knot winds. Whittaker Pointe was very nice, clean, and had a great lounge area. Hard to beat.
