What a great surprise – the Honey Fitz came to Isla of Hope for a fund raising visit. Just in case you’re not familiar, Honey Fitz is the U.S. Presidential Yacht named after John F. Kennedy’s grandfather. As I write, she is tied up just off our stern, and loaded with a contingent of donors towards Savannah’s Ronald McDonald House. We were lucky enough to be here when she came in this afternoon, and were treated to a ship’s tour with just a small group of five.
Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ve included a number of pictures.
As usual, we’re meeting a good number of friendly and interesting cruisers, including the crew of Honey Fitz.
