Monday – September 2nd: Georgetown, SC

We came here Saturday, and stayed three days for several reasons. First, we really enjoyed Georgetown on our way North, and thought it would be nice to spend several more days here. Second, we’ve been making a lot of one-night stops, and were ready to relax a little. Third, Labor Day Weekend is a good time NOT to be out on the water.

Basically, it was a much needed R & R. We did some neglected boat cleaning, and lots of laundry. We also has several very good meals. “Limpin’ Jane’s” had a very eclectic menu and very good food. Their Peach Cobbler, baked by our waitress Brandy, was excellent. At Wild Fish Grill they have several selections of the best ever fish tacos. And then of course, we had to buy some fresh shrimp at the local shrimp dock. Hard to beat steamed shrimp, even when you cook them yourself.

We also got in quite a few miles of walking around another quaint little town with old home, and huge old oak trees with Spanish Moss.
